Seth's Prayer
2023 · 10m · USA
Directed by Danny Scharar
Tones: absurdist, darkly comic, humorous
After getting fired from his admin job for trying to evangelize children, Seth decides God is steering him toward a modeling career. Christian ambition meets economic reality, and the unblinking faith holds — sort of.

The scouts
A guy gets fired for evangelizing toddlers and pivots to modeling — this is what I want short films doing instead of more grief-as-prestige.
Treating earnest evangelical delusion as comedic engine without sneering is the harder, more interesting position — Heidecker character study through Fielder's deadpan. That's the right tonal pact.
Treating earnest evangelical delusion as a comedic engine without sneering — 'I gain muscle at will and own over thirty shirts' — is the line that tells me the writing is sharp. Eric Rahill plus Matt Barats is a dream pairing.
Reviews
The film is a showcase for Eric Rahill playing Seth, a performance filled with impeccable line reads and all-in commitment.
