Everyone's doing the vulnerable-actor confessional now, but Mack's betting everything on the *silence* between desire and camera — the gap where the real negotiation happens. It's almost too restrained for its own good, which is exactly why it works.
This sits comfortably in the essay-film tradition of self-examination and spectatorship (Varda, Akerman), using the photo shoot as formal frame to interrogate the gaze itself — formally modest but conceptually rigorous.
Two minutes, no budget, just actors talking, but the decision to keep the camera static while desire floods *around* it makes you feel the weight of being looked at in a way most shorts twice as long never touch.
