What reads as seamless digital psychedelia is built on enormous analog preparation — Blanchard's process is the inversion of most effects-driven work. The FUBIZ and Les Inrockuptibles coverage confirms this craft approach landed with people who track technique.
Handmade green-screen labor in service of a Gondry-lite psych video. The craft's real; the result is decorative.
Hand-crafted physical setups built specifically to be composited via green screen into rotation and infinite zoom sequences — Blanchard insisting on pre-digital labor under a psychedelic surface is the right Gondry-adjacent ethic.
