Javi and Álex do not know that the other exists; they move, meet and meet again without recognising each other, in a video correspondence from the Frontera Imaginaria project.

The scouts

Two people existing in parallel, never quite colliding—it's a premise that sounds like a greeting card until you realize it's about the violence of non-recognition, the queerness of bodies that can't see each other. Hojas makes the invisible border the actual subject, which is deliciously perverse.

Felix

This is a work deeply conversant with structuralist cinema and the video letter form, yet it never announces its genealogy—the formal constraint (two simultaneous timelines, the rules of encounter and non-encounter) serves an intimate emotional truth about the Frontera Imaginaria project itself. The editing's restraint is what makes it cut.

Margot

The decision to hold both figures in frame simultaneously, moving through the same space without acknowledgment, is economical and devastating—it's a single formal choice that does all the thematic work, and Hojas trusts it completely, letting the camera sit still while the meaning accumulates.
