Sewing as recovery-from-self-harm metaphor is a tidy literary device, and the Vimeo on-demand page is actually for a completely different 2019 Belgrade film, which means I'm reviewing a synopsis only. Tidy on paper, uninspected in fact.
Sewing as the metaphor for stitching the self back together is admittedly direct, and the description matches the film while the Vimeo page advertises an entirely different Serbian feature — a discoverability concern more than a curatorial one. The premise is tender but the device is conventional.
Sewing as recovery from self-harm — fabric-stitching as body-stitching — is a clean enough central metaphor, but the page summary returned a totally different Belgrade-set film about a stolen newborn, so I can't verify the actual craft of this one. Conservative read on metadata.
Reviews
Beautiful short film about perspectives and the discovery of the other in clear terms.
