Tones: contemplative, darkly comic
Adriana works as a stock-photo model, a supposedly stimulating job for someone who wants to be an actress; during a shoot, she must decide what she really wants to do with her life.

Stock photo model as existential crisis is such a painfully obvious setup that I expected to hate this, but Zamora actually commits to the absurdity—the film doesn't wink at its own premise, it stares into it, which is rarer than you'd think.
There's a lineage of work interrogating performance and artifice here, from Godard through contemporary essay-films, and Zamora situates this modest piece within that tradition with formal discipline and a refusal to sentimentalize Adriana's entrapment.
The real grip of this film lives in how Zamora frames the stock-photo shoot itself—the mechanical repetition of false emotions becoming almost unbearable—and one particular moment where Adriana's face stops performing tells you everything about her decision without a word of dialogue.
