It's a bottle episode of sci-fi claustrophobia that plays the hand-pinned-under-rock thing completely straight—no twist, no subversion, just raw survival mechanics. Honestly, it's almost *too* competent for Felix to champion; there's nothing here that makes you go 'wait, WHAT?' so much as 'oh, I see what you're doing.'
Gallo executes the confined-space thriller with formal precision—real craft in the spatial blocking and the way he sustains tension through editing rhythm rather than cheap cuts. It's a small, well-made film that knows its lineage (Alien, the airlock scene; contemporary sci-fi survival), and it sits comfortably in that tradition without arguing with it.
The singular choice here is the decision to keep Eve's face mostly still and let her breathing—the fogging visor, the ragged inhales—do all the emotional work; that one restraint, that faith in your actor's quiet physicality over reaction shots, transforms a high-concept premise into something genuinely intimate and suffocating.
