A papercraft stop-motion graduation film from Bezalel Academy that stages the anxiety of digital over-connectivity as a frenetic series of visual metaphors, rendering the endless cycle of posting, tagging, and sharing as a physical world of paper figures caught in perpetual, futile motion.

Cohen's insistence on answering the screen's immateriality with paper and hands transforms what could be mere digital satire into a meditation on craft itself — and the Chicago Gold Hugo for student animation is the institutional confirmation of a debut that fully earns its place in the tradition.
Bezalel graduation, papercraft stop-motion about digital over-connectivity. Four and a half minutes. Tactile critique of virtual abstraction — the conceit is sharp and the execution is the only question. Cohen's first stop-motion attempt; that worries me.
Hand-cut paper and clay as the material critique of virtual abstraction — Bezalel grad film where the tactility IS the argument. Sound design by Markey Funk and 13 years of staying power on Vimeo suggests something held up.
