Tones: dark, darkly comic, whimsical
A Swedish teenager installs a massive subwoofer in her EPA tractor to impress her crush, but their bass-thumping date in the rural woods is violently interrupted by Hagglund, a disturbed elderly neighbor whose wife is long dead.

The scouts
Swedish EPA-tractor youth subculture as the backdrop for a slasher with a widowed neighbor — the subcultural specificity is the actual hook, not the genre. Vimeo's 404'd so I'm flying blind, but the cultural-collision premise has legs.
Swedish EPA tractor youth subculture meets rural slasher — the cultural specificity alone (and the bass-as-magnet device) suggests something fresher than the genre baseline. The dead Vimeo link is a real obstacle to vault placement.
Anchoring a slasher around the real Swedish 'EPA tractor' youth subculture — teenagers in scrap-built vehicles blasting subwoofers — gives the intergenerational horror its specific cultural texture. Page didn't load (Vimeo 404), so I'm trusting the premise.
Reviews
The journey is familiar but fun, and the punchline Arevärn is driving toward is a real crowd pleaser.
Sharp writing and grounded performances... accomplishes a surprising amount in terms of character development. Arevärn is a promising filmmaker and one to watch.
