Tones: contemplative, humorous, melancholic
An indie rock band drags their gear from a Bushwick practice space to a Manhattan venue, and somewhere between the L train and the load-in the dream begins to wobble. Logistics as existential crisis.

The scouts
A band movie about the boring part — the schlep, the doubt, the cargo van — which is to say, the only part that's actually true.
Treating schlepping amps across a borough as the actual content of the dream rather than the obstacle to it is the right comedy of Brooklyn musician life. Brown has the deadpan to keep the existential crisis logistical.
Schlepping amps from Bushwick to Manhattan via L train as the actual content of the indie-band dream is the right substitution — the logistics IS the existential crisis. "Whether 40 degrees is objectively cold" is real bandmate dialogue.
Reviews
The film perfectly captures the mania/delusion inherent in chasing a dream that so many others are chasing.
