The scouts

Everyone expects a trans documentary from Balochistan to be a victimhood narrative, and Waqar refuses—the subversion isn't in the politics, it's in the refusal to perform trauma for comfort. The title itself is the knife.

Felix

A formally considered oral history that positions itself within the documentary tradition of intimate testimony; the restraint in not over-sentimentalizing a life of extraordinary difficulty shows real curatorial maturity.

Margot

The decision to let Saira's voice—unadorned, direct—carry the entire weight of nine minutes, without reaching for the usual interview scaffolding or archival imagery, is what makes this land: every survival detail becomes monumental through that singular formal choice.

Reviews

Through this film I hope for the masses to become kinder towards the transgender community, and to start accepting and seeing them as equal humans. I want this film to reach the responsible authorities to answer and solve the deeply rooted issues that are being faced by the transgender population in Pakistan.
