Villagers in Rucăr fight legal restrictions and environmentalists over bears destroying their homes.

The scouts
Everyone wants to talk about climate ethics and coexistence; Duruian just lets the villagers' rage and desperation sit there, unresolved and ugly, and refuses to sanctify either side—it's almost perverse in how it dismantles the environmental doc playbook.
The film's formal restraint—letting testimony accumulate without voiceover, cutting between intimate domestic damage and abstract policy—situates it squarely in the lineage of Eastern European documentary realism, where witnessing is itself a form of argument.
The decision to film the actual bear damage in daylight, matter-of-fact, rather than as spectacle or tragedy, is what lets the human conflict breathe; it's the visual equivalent of refusing to manipulate.
