The vampire-as-everyday-life angle is solid genre subversion, but Armstrong doesn't quite have the audacity to let the premise breathe—it settles into pretty familiar horror territory instead of pushing the absurdity or the dread further.
A tidy genre exercise with clear lineage to vampire-in-society storytelling, though it lacks the formal invention or editorial precision that would elevate it beyond competent execution of familiar tropes.
That 5-minute constraint forces Armstrong into an elegant compression—the mundane domestic moments punctuated by barely-concealed otherness work precisely because there's no room for exposition, just the tension of ordinary people holding something terrible inside.
