Waiter Movie: The Short

The scouts

The kind of NY comedy that smells like a kitchen at 2am. Modica's deadpan is a knife and she's the one with the check.

Casting Crackhead Barney alongside Edy Modica in a downtown waiter-chases-dine-and-dashers comedy is exactly the kind of unfiltered NYC casting that promises something nobody else is going to make. Good Time energy rerouted through service-industry slapstick — yes.

Modica playing a male waiter who literally sleeps in the restaurant + Crackhead Barney is downtown comedy unfiltered — the casting and the chasing-down-dine-and-dashers chase choice signal real Little Italy texture, not Brooklyn quirk.
