A 3-minute musical cartoon about Mr.
Picked by Zoe
The scouts
A musical about difference that actually *feels* different—the animation style refuses to smooth out its own awkwardness, which is exactly the move a precious indie-twee musical would botch.
The song structure sits comfortably in the lineage of stop-motion musical shorts, though the formal restraint in the animation palette suggests a deliberate conversation with mid-budget family work rather than a departure from it.
The decision to keep the character designs slightly off-model throughout—imperfect, genuinely handmade—transforms what could've been a saccharine premise into something that actually earns its tenderness.
Reviews
As much fun as this character is, it's actually a wholesome little film about not caring about differences and appreciating exactly who you are & whatever makes you so unique.
