Tones: contemplative, melancholic, tender
A girl and a boy are born on the same day, at the same time, in the same hospital — and their paths cross again years later in that same place. Executive produced by Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry and supported by Working Title Films.

The scouts
Stephen Daldry doesn't attach his name to student work casually — what he saw in Sorrenti's Wednesday is the structural discipline of the location choice, the way the hospital setting isn't nostalgic decoration but the film's actual logic, holding two lives in parallel across decades.
Stephen Daldry EP'd it, Working Title backed it, 50 festivals, romantic-symmetry premise. It is competent and earnest and entirely typical of UK shorts-grant cinema.
Rob Sorrenti uses the hospital birth ward as recurring location to earn his romantic premise architecturally rather than sentimentally — Stephen Daldry executive producing for good reason. Polished and structurally smart.
