Local legend horror is basically the most exhausted premise in genre right now, so either Borrallo Boje found a genuinely perverse angle here or this is exactly the kind of competent-but-predictable thing that makes me want to scream—I'm genuinely unsure which after that runtime.
There's a clarity to how this positions itself within folk-horror tradition, the mythic register suggesting a filmmaker aware of what *Wailing* and *Midsommar* established, though whether Borrallo Boje adds formal language rather than just inheriting it remains the question.
Twelve minutes is nowhere near enough time for a 'friends confront dark secrets' setup unless there's one decision—a sound bridge, a POV shift, a performance choice—that collapses the whole thing into something that *feels* inevitable; that's what I'm watching for here.
