Jordan arrives home after a crappy day and looks set to stew on it all evening — until a class notification on their watch poses a question: will they commit to the workout? A love letter to exercise from Shotopop, charting the raw emotional shift of a good ride.

Everyone's making films about burnout and digital malaise; Standford and Franken just... sidestep the whole thing and bet everything on the proposition that moving your body fixes your head—which shouldn't work as cinema, and yet the audacity alone makes it worth watching.
There's a lineage here: the animated essay film, the Vimeo-era intimacy—but what distinguishes this is how precisely the form (animation, 3 minutes) mirrors the subject's compression of time, the watch notification as narrative trigger serving both plot and medium specificity.
The entire film hinges on a single tonal gamble—treating a workout class notification not as ironic or dismissive but as genuinely redemptive—and the animation decision to track Jordan's emotional state through color and movement rather than dialogue is what makes that gamble land.
Reviews
Shotopop has created a love letter to exercise with a new animated short. We wanted to make sure we feel that they were having a bad day, and that we clearly convey the change in their mood as we progress.
