Todd, a struggling musician known as Rick-A-Doo, teams up with his best friend Archie — a worm living in his sock drawer — to write a country song about heartache, despite never having experienced it. When inspiration runs dry, he finds a painful and increasingly dark shortcut to authentic heartbreak.

Whitmer Thomas writes country songs with a hand-puppet worm voiced by Mac DeMarco — the casting alone is unhinged enough to deserve attention. Yes.
A puppet worm voiced by Mac DeMarco as a musician's muse — Jonny Look in Frank-by-way-of-Muppet territory, which is a genuinely specific tonal register. Idiosyncratic in the right ways.
Fourteen minutes co-starring a hand-puppet worm voiced by Mac DeMarco — that single casting choice tells you the tonal register, somewhere between Muppet sincerity and indie-rock deadpan. Brain Dead Studios production at 108K views suggests the country-music storytelling earns the gambit.
