Pyramid schemes deserve cinema this delirious. The American Dream's been begging for someone to film it like a hostage tape and Szerlip finally obliged.
Szerlip turning MLM hustle into hallucinatory fairy tale — animated interludes, original score — feels like genuine formal ambition rather than satire-by-numbers. The dream-as-pitch-deck conceit could be a real find.
MLM hustle culture as hallucinatory fairy tale, with the salesperson haunted in her sleep by a beauty-model siren version of the company monologue. The dream-into-pitch-deck slippage is a sharp formal idea.
